Pillow Fight

Daddy and Memphis had a pillow fight...guess who won!

Pat-a-cake!

Today was nursery rhyme day at school - everyone had to dress up and say their favorite nursery rhyme. Mommy dressed up as the Baker's Man from Memphis' favorite nursery rhyme..."pat-a-cake"! She had the best accessory of all...Memphis! We spent the morning baking cupcakes and marking them with all the kids' initials, then we visited kindergarten together and said "pat-a-cake" for all the boys and girls. Memphis stole the show!

Hand, hand, finger, thumb...

Memphis is getting very efficient with his hands and getting them to do what he wants (which is putting everything and anything into his mouth...of course! Really very good for Daddy and Pop's OCD with germs).

Another day of Mahoney loving his baby!...and Memphis sure doesn't seem to mind one bit!

New Toy!

Memphis has a new toy (thanks Marge) that he just ADORES! He has to lay on his back and kick with his feet. Kicking makes the toy spin and play music. When we first laid him down we showed him how it worked by pushing his feet against it. For a while he kind of just lay there looking at the toy and looking back at us, then looking back at the toy and then looking back at us. Eventually he kicked it by accident and looked SHOCKED! 10 minutes later he had definitely figured it out and was kick-kick-kicking away and laughing and smiling.

Bi-polar?

Watch out! This baby has been known to go from one emotional extreme to another in a matter of moments... In this particular case he was set off by Meme saying hi to him. I guess he didn't feel like hearing hi right then! NOTICE: He is quite adorable either way!

Dirty laundry...

There's so much dirty laundry these days, I wonder why I don't just toss the little guy in with it all!

Memphis-core

Memphis went to Skitch practice last night and Daddy let him play the drums. He was introduced to the other instruments as well. In a few weeks he will be replacing Bri on bass. TO VIEW VIDEO CLIP BELOW PRESS THE PLAY BUTTON IN CENTER OF SCREEN!

Bunny love

Memphis got this bunny from Grama and Pop in the mail a few days ago. It is the perfect size and he loves it so! He uses his little hands to rub, rub it and cuddle it with his face...which (of course) makes Daddy and Mommy about keel over from all the cuteness.

Milk monster...

As we prepare for Mommy to return to work :( Daddy is making sure Memphis knows how to drink from a bottle. He loves to hold Daddy's hand as he eats...precious little fingers.

Morning work-out

Yes...we have a morning person here! Grama and Pop are insistent that it did not come from THEIR side of the family! Daddy and Mommy continue to laugh every time they see that new McDonald's coffee commercial...that is SO Memphis in 30 years!

This morning's work-out included plenty of finger time (of course...Memphis' favorite) and a bit of practicing how to stand on Daddy (WAY fun!).

Yo listen up, here's a story about a little guy that lives with a blue Bumbo and a blue Cookie and everything is blue for him and himself...he has blue PJs and blue, blue eyes and everything is blue for him and himself...daba dee, daba die!

Top o' the mornin' to ya!

And a Happy Saint Patty's Day too. Memphis celebrated his first St.Patrick's Day by watching Mom and Dad eat Lucky Charms for breakfast and corn beef and cabbage for dinner!

Get a hair cut and get a real job!

Memphis got his first hair cut today. Mommy told Daddy that Memphis was a bit too young - but Daddy insisted that his son NOT have a mullet one day longer. After extensive testing of the electric razor (for safety) Daddy decided there was no way it could cut the little monkey and away went the mullet. He does look rather dashing!

It all started when...

Today is our first entry (obviously). Yesterday we got a visit from Maura the Librarian (as seen in pic.) who is much more computer savvy than I. After a whirlwind overview of all the things I don't know about the web...she inspired me to try this whole "blogging" business. Now, since I know I myself am not that interesting (it's okay...I think every mother comes to terms with that within seconds after the birth of their first child) I have decided to dedicate the blog to our darling Memphis...in hopes that all of his fans out there (far and near) can get a daily dose of the little milk monster! So a new adventure begins...
