When Memphis visited Dr.Binder the other day he got 3 shots! He was very brave, but is still recovering...with help from his Joe Cool Snoopy band-aids. (I am pretty sure it's going to take Daddy even longer to recover. Memphis was quite pitiful and panic stricken upon receiving those shots...poor baby...poor Daddy).
Memphis had his first meal of solid foods today! He love, love, LOVED it! Who knew rice cereal would be so spectacularly delicious?! Dr.Binder said that it can take most babies a few days to a few weeks to get used to eating off a spoon...not our Memphis! He eagerly gobbled it all and even grabbed at the spoon a few times to shove it into his own mouth. Thus continues a long line of tradition...Bage boys who love to eat.
With the surge of warmer weather Memphis is finally getting to wear outfits without socks...leading to the discovery of these fascinating (and quite delicious) things Mommy calls feet!
Sorry about the wait for the post. We went to visit Grama & Pop in NY...Mommy remembered her camera but forgot the cord to upload pics. Grama bought Memphis new clothes (of course)...including this adorable Harley outfit and sunglasses. It was warm enough for Memphis to wear shorts for the first time - he discovered his feet (how fascinating)! He rolled over on Grama & Pop's kitchen table (Mom and Dad were watching him). He went to Jen's bridal shower and helped out with the favors (see potted plant pic).
We just had a fun, fun time. Love you Grama & Pop!
Memphis is always so busy learning. Today he spent time staring at and talking to his reflection in the mirror, as well as practicing to sit up on his own (kind of)...looks like he needs more practice.
Much to Mahoney's dismay, Memphis has decided that he really loves the kitties too! The jury is still out on whether Two-ee and Gonzalo will return the gesture.
Memphis has been putting everything in his mouth lately - and has discovered he can stick out his tongue...just add that in with giving the bird and the list of crude gestures keeps growing and growing.
(see Easter picture for an example of telling someone they're number one)
Sorry no post yesterday - Mommy has strep throat. : (
Nonetheless, the Easter Bunny made an appearance at Memphis' crib while he slept. He left a basket full of goodies ( a squishy ball, bubbles, a talking Cookie Monster, a baby chick, some books, a hatchable dinosaur egg...) and even some Cadbury cream eggs for Daddy. Mommy gets penicillin for Easter.
Mommy and Daddy had lunch at Wendy's today - and Memphis got his first balloon from the store's owner. He thinks it is the best thing since sliced bread...well, since thumb sucking!
Memphis has mastered the piano (toy piano that is)...and oh! the collar...the lip...can't you just hear him now? "Well-a, thank you, thank you very much!" Perhaps his bedroom is actually getting to him.
I am the mother of Memphis!
Although he keeps me quite busy, I feel I owe it to all the Memphis fans out there to keep you up to date with his happenings. So each day I take photos of him and he tells me what to write (you know...through mother-baby ESP). ENJOY!!!!
