Bananas for Breakfast

No...he isn't actually feeding himself here. We have taken to giving Memphis his own spoon to hold while he eats. It helps distract him enough that he doesn't try to suck his thumb while eating, thus helping to not make a huge mess...though the plan didn't work so well today. The spoon DID stop him from trying to suck his thumb, but it DIDN'T stop him from making a mess...a cute mess indeed. Quite proud of his mess too!

My First Father's Day

In the morning I wore my speical "father" shirt that Anutie Maura made me...but then I spit up peaches on it. After breakfast, I gave Daddy a photo of me with a quote about fathers. I think he liked it. He said it was perfect. We called Pop and Grampa Keith on the phone - and we went to visit Grampa Lou. I had pizza crust for the first time and I LOVED it! Then Daddy, Mommy, and I went for a walk. Daddy carried me in my pouch - becuase that is the cool Daddy thing to do you know. We ended the day with Daddy reading me a book all about Daddys. Mommy said she gave it to him last year on Father's Day when I was still living in her belly. Imagine that! I think I like Father's Day.
