9 month check-up

I went to my new Dr. today. (We had to switch since we moved to a new state and got new insurance). His name is Dr. Taylor - he tickled me and made me laugh. He is actually the same Dr. that took care of Mommy when she was little. Can you believe it? He even recognized her!

So now I am 19 pounds and 27 inches, both in the 25th percentile for my age. I AM a little peanut...well except for my head. My head still measures in the 90th percentile. Mommy says it is to hold my big, huge brain - because I am just so smart! Dr. Taylor said I am healthy, healthy, healthy...then he gave me a shot. Didn't like that much. But he DID cover it up with a silver, shiny, star-sparkle band-aid...so I guess I can forgive him.

Little Drummer Boy

One thing that always makes me feel better when I am cranky is playing drums with Daddy. Tonight Daddy plugged in his iPod and we were rockin' out to Alan Jackson...cool. Do you like my ear plugs? Daddy makes me wear them to protect me ears. I think they make me look a little Frankenstein-esque.

9 months old today!

...and getting more and more beautiful by the day! Now I have spent as much time OUT of Mommy's belly as I did IN. Neat. Look! I even stood up all by myself for these photos...well I did lean against the wall a little...but I stood there a really long time so Mommy could take her 200 shots. Got to love all that drool.

Shoe Shopping

I spent the day hanging out with Mommy and Daddy - YAY! I have been wanting to walk, walk, walk everywhere...so they decided that I shoudl get a pair of shoes to protect my feet. We went to the mall and Daddy measured my foot - it says I'm a size 3. Sometimes size 4 fits me too. We didn't find any we really liked. Mommy says maybe we'll order some from the internet.

I also spent the whoel day practicing "bye-bye" while waving. It is my favorite thing to do right now. I was saying bye-bye to being 8 months old, because tomorrow I turn 9 months old...can you belive it? I have been outside my Mommy's tummy as long as I was inside now.

My First Rehearsal!

Mommy is in a wedding tomorrow. It is for her friends Wayne and Natalie...Uncle Wayne and Auntie Natalie to me! Daddy is helping out with the wedding too. He is the "Chief Wedding Officer" (CWO)...so we all got to go to the rehearsal today. It was at a neat place called Look Park.

While Mommy practiced walking for the wedding I practiced...well...walking!

My favorite, favorite part was the rehearsal dinner. There was food there. LOTS of food there! I had crackers, cheese, grapes, melon, oranges, pineapple, salad, mashed potatoes, squash, stuffing, chicken, and apple crumb dessert...YUM! mommy and Daddy were both cutting up food for me and could barely keep up...note the food smeared all over my face here! Fun.

Hanging with my homies...

Spend the afternoon playing with Daddy and Mahoney on the bed. I like to sit on Daddy and fall off - SPLAT- right onto my face. I laugh and laugh and then I crawl back up to do it again. I also like to crawl as fast as I can for the edge of the bed and make Daddy try to stop me. Good times.

Hanging & Waving

While Mommy was trying to finish cleaning up and making dinner I wanted nothing more than for her to hold me...so she let me hang out with her. Even though I am getting so big I can still fit in my pouch (good thing). I like to see everything from up here...and wave to Daddy.

biker boy

Look what Mommy found in the shed for me today...a bike that's just my size! This is the boy one. There was a girl one too, for Ezri to play with. She was pushing herself all around...and since I feel the need to do everything Ezri does, I got myself on that little bike and tried to push myself around too. It's a little harder for me though. Honestly, I didn't really get the whole thing about moving forward. Forget those darn pedals! ...but backwards I can do. I am a pro at backwards...

shoe obsession

I know Mommy says they are yucky...but I just LOVE playing with shoes! Here I am...a little peeved that I couldn't get these off Daddy's feet. Did I mention that I am VERY opinionated now a days? Oh, and do I ever let my opinion be known! Watch out - If I am really angry I will give you angry arms! (where I link my hands together and wave my arms up and down real fast, all the while yelling with an angry look on my face...often ending with crying)You don't want angry arms, do you now?

Woofstock

We went to Woofstock, a basset hound party today. There were over 100 bassets there and they all looked just like Mahoney. He was beside himself with joy. I wore my special basset hound short (that Grama bought me) for the special occasion. There was a basset hound drag race, which my Mahoney tied for first in! I knew he was fast. During the tie breaker Daddy stood at the starting line and Mommy and me sat at the finish line. Mahoney ran so fast! Mommy and Daddy are always telling him to be gentle with me so when he saw me there he slowed down...so he wouldn't crash into me...so he got 2nd place overall. I was so proud! During the basset hound maze Mahoney got annoyed and tried to just jump over the walls. Silly Mahoney! Not sure who had more fun...Mahoney or me!

Big E

The Big E opened up today...and guess who went for their first visit. Yup...none other than "M Bradley." My favorite part was the Midway where I got to watch all the lights and rides.
Mommy took me on my first fair ride - a little train. I didn't even sit on her lap - I sat like a big boy on the bench next to her. At first I thought it was a little intense and held on to the seat belt with my death grip...but I did enjoy looking around as the train moved. By the end I was smiling and bouncing...but still holding on with my death grip...just in case.
Daddy ate lots of food there...he says that's the best part of a fair. He and Mommy shared an Italian sausage with peppers, corn dogs, french fries, a sirloin steak sandwich with cheese, a slice of pizza, ice cream, and fried dough...PHEW!!!! No wonder Mommy is having trouble loosing that baby weight.
I enjoyed my juice from the safety and comfort of my stroller.
I had fun peeking up at Mommy!
There were lots of animals in the Farm-A-Rama building.
Daddy and I played some strange drums...they made me giggle.
Mommy and Daddy let me pick out one thing to buy. I picked this soldier puppet. Daddy did a Marine Corps. voice and made him sing cadence. It was great!

Vet Tech

I had to take my kitties to the vet today. One of them was sick...but we couldn't figure out which one, so we had to take both. There was a kid's play corner at the vet office - but I wasn't interested. I wanted to get a good look at all the different kinds of doggies that walked by. I even got to pet a few. I helped the vet check out the kitties. I showed him how much they like it when I pet them. Then he told me the kitties would be okay...good!

V is for vacuum

I love to sit in the curled up part and wait for Daddy to make the hose move like a snake. I laugh and laugh! ...Notice that I said Daddy, and not Mommy. Alas, I fear Mommy does not share in the passion for vacuum funfair as Daddy, Grama, and I do...

Sweet dreams...

...are made of these.
(9-9-07)
Yesterday we went to RI so Mommy could take engagement photos of her cousin Rosie at the beach. She snapped this one of Daddy and me...the acorn doesn't fall far from the tree...does it?

First Fireman's Carnival

Mommy and Daddy used to come here together when they were little - now they come here with me! And you know what the fair means...fair FOOD! Yup....that means I get another french fry. Yay!

Driving School

Mommy was trying to get a nice shot of me today - but I had other plans. I thought I would give her a few lessons on how to drive...

This is how you drive a motorcylcle - vroooom, vrooom!

This is how you drive a big rig. You get to toot that cool horn - HOOOOOOOONK, HOOOOOOONK!

This is how you drive standard - see me shifting, Mommy?

This is what you do when you're driving a bus - "Move on back!"

...and then I let Mommy take her nice picture! I sure am cute!

Tubby-time-do

Mommy and Daddy are all into giving me interesting hair-dos in the tubby. They think it is funny. I think they need to get a life!

Labor Day = Hard Work!

Here I am working hard at a BBQ yesterday!
