Happy Halloween!

"...truly wonderful, the mind of a child is!"

Do you like my costume? I am Yoda and Daddy is going to be Obi-Wan Kenobi. Momma doesn't have a costume because she got sick of sewing. Momma will just be Momma. Look! I even have my own light saber (the BEST part!). Daddy made it for me out of a wooden dowel and a glow stick. Clever Daddy.

This morning Momma took me to a playgroup for the first time. She just discovered it the other day. I played with a bunch of kids, went down the slide (a lot), played with a parachute (that was the best!), had a snack (a banana and some Goldfish crackers), sang some songs (The Itsy BitsySpider was my favorite), and went on a Halloween Parade to the senior center (they gave me candy...which I gave to Daddy). When I got home I took a LONG nap.

Tonight we are going Tick-or-Treating. Look back later for more photos. "May the FORCE be with you!"
UPDATE - Here we are trick-or-treating.
Here's my Daddy - isn't he oober cool?

The first house I went to was Meme's. She gave me lots of kisses (some were made of chocolate). I was in good spirits. You see, it all started out okay, but I got pretty grumpy as the night went on (I was tired and Momma and Daddy made me ride around in that darn car). So we only went to about 6 houses. But it was still fun.

It's The Great Pumpkin - Memphis!

Momma and Daddy told me there is a house in town that always carves a whole bunch of pumpkins. They took me to visit tonight - there were at least 100! This is the 25th year - so they've been doing it since Momma and Daddy were little, like me!
Look! The Great Pumpkin!!!!

I even found Elmo!

Carving Pumpkins

Hmmmm...what should I make?
Oooooooo - pumpkin guts feel funny.
Daddy made a really complicated Frankenstein.
Momma made a silly face on her pumpkin...
...and it threw up. EWWWWW!!!! GROSS!!!!! (and kind of cool) Here they are! ...Daddy's, Momma's, and mine too.
I am very proud!

Representin'

Ummm...do I have to say anything more? I think not. GO SOX!!!!
(A special congratulatory shout out to Auntie Sarah!)

By the way...have I mentioned that I love to play the game "Hat On, Hat Off"? I am good at it too. And I am so very smart! See, the whole time I was playing this game today I kept saying, "Da! Da! Da!"...becasue I know THIS is my Dada's hat.

New teethies!

Can you see them? They just busted through. I went almost four months with no new teeth, an now I am getting 4 all at once. OUCH. No wonder I have been so cranky lately.

Spooky Dinner

In honor of October tradition, Momma made a spooky dinner tonight of mummy dogs and bat blood soup (aka tomato soup with a cheddar cheese bat). It was eerily delicious.

Daddy's finger nails are kind of scary in this photo too...but don't worry. They are real clean - just stained with black paint from his truck. How do you like my Momo bib?

Crash & Cry

I am in love with walking. Plain and simple.

I just haven't quite figured out all the tricks yet (like how to do it all by myself, and what I should do when I get stuck). Momma says I have quite a temper when I am frustrated. She says she has no idea where I get it from and that maybe I should ask Daddy...maybe he has an idea. I wonder what she means by that!

Pick a Pack of Perfect Pumpkins!

We went to the pumpkin patch today. It is the same pumpkin patch that Momma and Daddy have gone to since they were little kids.

They went there last year, when I was in Momma's belly...see...there I am...one whole year ago!
The pumpkins were so bright and smooth - and there were so many! I had a hard time choosing - but here it is, my first pumpkin!

Next, I helped Daddy pick out his pumpkin, "How 'bout THIS one Daddy?!!!" (He DID pick the one under my left hand. I am happy to take all the credit.)

Photo op. for Momma!

We even took a hay ride down to the pumpkin field. I was very interested in that tractor!

Hotrod Fallout

It was a beautiful fall day - and the car show was the most! Daddy even brought his truck to the show.

That night Daddy made sparks. Cool.

Sesame Street LIVE!!!

It was SOOOOO much fun! The lights! The music! All the kids! We sat in the aisle seat of the 3rd row!!!! All my Sesame Street friends walked right by me during the show. A bunch of them even stopped to give me a wave or tickle. I met Elmo, Ernie, a Honker (see the photo above), and Grover stopped to scare Momma. He surprised her from behind and she screamed right out loud...and I laughed and laughed. I wasn't quite as outwardly excited as Momma and Daddy thought I would be...but I DID go right into "TV watching mode"...thumb in mouth, starring at all the action...taking it all in. Amazing. At the end of the show there was strings and confetti that showered right down on where we were sitting. What a great day!

Ooooo - lights!

LOOK! It's all my Sesame Street friends!

Hello Mr. Honker!

My First REAL Hair Cut

Remember Daddy tried to trim my hair last week and I cry, cry, C-R-I-E-D?!!!! Well, I was much calmer today, so Momma gave it another go. How do you like the new do? She stripped me downt o my diaper, strapped me into my high chair, and started up Daddy's clippers. She trimmed the top part with plain old scissors. I didn't cry at all this time...just wiggled a lot. When she was done, Daddy swept up all my hair and Momma told him to put it in a bag. It was actually A LOT of hair. She was a little teary-eyed. Weird Momma.

Outisde Guy

Enjoyed a rather nice swing experience today in the glorious autumn air. I really adore being outside lately. Whenever someone opens the door I head right for it...and if they close it before I manage to get there, I cry. My favorite activities outside? Well, I like driving around in my car (the one Daddy didn't chop), going down the slides, the swing (of course), and exploring the top of the play scape. Did you know there is a wheel up there - just like in Momma's car - and I can drive it?!!! For real! Way cool.

Also, the faux hawk made a reappearance today. Momma entered one of these pics in the Baby Gap contest (along with 4 others). She thinks I'm cute enough to be a baby model...I mean hey, she is my Momma after all...but who am I to argue? I am pretty good lookin'. She just may be on to something here.

My Baby Says It's Halloween...

After Momma got home from work this afternoon, I helped her decorate for Halloween. This funny skull was definitely my favorite. Every time I move his eyes light up and he talks. I was both amazed and amused! Momma hung it down low enough so that I can play with it. The best part is that Daddy keeps forgetting that it is there and every time it talks it scares the bejeebers out of him!

Chop Shop

I got to help Daddy while he worked on his truck today. He cut his own fender skirts out of an old door - and they look good! ...just one of the many projects he has taken on in hopes to try to finish up the '66 as best he can before the car show on Saturday. Frugal Daddy.

Later, he started working on my car. He says he's going to chop it, lower it, paint it, and give me some new wheels so I'll be styling at the car show too. That's right. You're seeing correctly. My Daddy is cutting apart my favorite toy in this photo. I didn't cry at all though - I love the sound of a good hack-saw after dinner. Let's hope he knows what he's doing. Stay tuned.

Waiting for Cousin Kleykamp

Momma had Auntie Desiree's baby shower today - with A LOT of help from Auntie's friends. One reason she needed so much help was that I insisted she carry me around in the baby carrier the whole time. I didn't want to visit with A-N-Y-O-N-E. The crowd was a little overwhelming. People liked my sweater, and Auntie got a bunch of nice presents...so we had that going for us. I don't know how much longer I can wait for this little cousin of mine though...

Bedtime Story with Meme

Meme came to visit me tonight to see if I was feeling better. My fever is finally going down - Momma didn't have to give me any medicine today...but I am still feeling rather snugly. Meme read me my FAVORITE story - Momo! By the way, did I tell you I said my 4th words the other day? Now I say bye-bye, Momma, Dada, and Momo (a.k.a. Elmo).

Hairdo Holler!

Daddy thought it would be a good idea to trim my hair tonight. My thoughts? Not happy about my trim...not happy at all. Probably NOT a good idea to try to cut a baby's hair when he is already feeling sick and cranky. Lesson learned Daddy?
