3-6-08...GYMBOREE!!!

So Momma used to go to this place called Gymboree with Aly Mac and Spencer when they were my age. They offer 1 free class to try it out, so Momma thought she would bring me and see what I thought about it. OH - MY - GOODNESS!!!!! It is like heaven there! It's a big room full of gym equipment for kids. There are mats, climbers, slides, balls, a trampoline, a rocking boat...so much fun stuff to explore...and music, bubbles, and parachute time too! There is a teacher (Miss Laurie) who is really, really nice and she tells the Mommas and Daddies ideas of what they should do with their kiddos.

The minute I walked through the door I was overwhelmed with excitement, pointing, and talk-talk-talking. I was in QUITE a hurry to get my shoes off and start playing. Since I am 14 months old I am supposed to be in Level 3 (10-16 mths.) so we tried that class first. I had so much fun! At the end of the class Miss Laurie said I was walking so well that she thought I would fit better in a level 4 class (16-22 mths.). So Momma and I stayed for part of that class too, to try it out. As Grama always says, "I'm quite advanced, you know." Even Momma was surprised at my coordination and motor planning. I had very little trouble transitioning from the ground to the mats, and every time I climbed something I made sure I turned around backwards before I tried to get down. I showed Momma I was very brave.
Today we learned about hard and soft. The rings around my body were hard, but the rings at my feet were soft.
There were all sorts of balls (my favorite). I spent a good bit of time putting them into this here hoop.
Here I am climbing up, up, up onto a climber so I could get to the slide.
I think my favorite spot of the day was this bridge. I kept climbing up onto it all by myself...and I could get down by myself too (but I liked how Momma was right there just in case). Momma and I took this soft beach ball and passed it back and forth to each other through the holes on the bridge.
Hey! It's dark in here! Who cares...HERE I COME!!!! This tunnel was soft.
Ooooo...this tunnel was hard.
Hey! Look at all these handsome guys in there. I wonder if they will be my friends! See the sticke ron my back? That's my name tag and it has Gymbo the clown on it!
So Momma was thinking the class was too expensive and that we wouldn't actually enroll, but just go to try it out for fun. She said it costs $200 for 3 months. Can you believe it? That IS a lot of money...but I keep reminding her that we not only do we get to go to class each week, but we can go to the "open play" gym time too. I really want Daddy to take me to that! Now that Momma saw how much I loved it, how much fun I had, and how good it was for me she is thinking maybe we will try to join. YIPPEE!!!! I hope we do.

3-5-08...Jammies at eh library?

Momma took me to a story time at the library tonight - and all the kids there were wearing their pajamas! Can you believe it? I wore my emergency vehicle jammies. Eric Fisher (the weather guy from Channel 40) came to read us Dr.Seuss books, in honor of Dr.Seuss' birthday. I liked listening to the books...kind of...but I REALLY liked seeing all those kids and playing with them!
Ooooooo! Look at all the friends!!!...in jammies!
i brought my Yurtle the Turtle with me...but we didn't read that book. We read Green Eggs and Ham, The Cat in the Hat, and The Foot Book.
I got my picture taken with Eric Fisher, he seemed a little nervous to be holding a littel guy like me. he told me he grew up in my town when he was a little boy...and now he's on TV.

3-3-08...Snow Walk

Even though there is lots of snow the weather was pretty nice today, so momma let me play outside for a while. I walked all around in the snow, following Ezri every where she went, and trying not to fall down. I was moderately successful.

3-2-08...I'm a builder, just like Daddy!

Built my first block tower tonight. Look at me go!
I am very particular about where the blocks go too. I don't just want to stick them on any ol' where. If it's not centered like I want it, I pull it off and put it where it belongs! Already a perfectionist.

Here I am building my tower...

Here I am sining to my blocks...

3-1-08...bed head

This is what I always look like when I wake up from my nap...

... in a good mood and ready for Momma to get me (blanket in hand)!
Come on Momma...what are you waiting for????
Really Momma. I'm not kidding. Stop playing with the camera and PICK ME UP!!!!!!

2-29-08...1st Hockey Game

I went to my first hockey game tonight with Momma, Daddy, Uncle DJ, Auntie Heather and Matt. We had a lot of fun. I was very very interested in watching all the hockey players. I watched them go back and forth, back and forth, keeping my eye on the puck the whole time. I kept pointing and talking. I was telling everyone all about the game. When the music came on I danced and clapped my hands. I didn't even mind the really really loud horn. Matthew had fun too. When we were leaving Momma and Daddy even got me my own little hockey stick!

2-28-08...who ever said boys don't like the mall?

...especially if there is a playground there!

When Momma was cleaning her glasses tonight she accidentally snapped them right in half - so we took an emergency trip to the mall when Daddy got home. I got to play at the playgorund while we waited.

Don't worry...Momma and Daddy brought the anti-bacterial wipes adn properly sanitized me after I was done playing.
