5-8-08...Stanley Park

The weather was beautiful today so Momm and Daddy took me to my first outing at Stanley Park.
Momma took this one with her tripod. Clever Momma.

I LOVED the pretty flowers. Momma is goign to use this one for a Mother's Day present for Grama.

I really, really wanted to play with the geese at the duck pond, but Daddy woudln't let me. He said they were "very aggressive." Aw man!

Daddy DID let me sit on this bridge though - hold on tight Da Da!

Look at this pretty fountain! And here's another one...

Look. FRIENDS! Can you find me hiding in my group of friends? I htought they were great. I talked to them for quite a while.

My favorite part was playing at the playground though. there was so much to do and see!

5-7-08...portraits in the grass

Ezri and I had similar outfits today (plaid shorts with solid shirts) so Momma wanted to take a nice photo of us together. She brought us into this really long grass which we thought was so much fun...and tickly too!

This is what Momma came up with. We are going to give a copy to Ezri for her birthday in a few weeks. Shhh! Don't tell Ezri.

5-6-08...surrounded by cars

...just the way I like it.

I am watching "Cars" on TV here too. Do you notice a theme inmy life lately?

5-5-08...strong boy

...especially when motivated by cars.
I carried this bucket over to Momma so she would help me open it.

5-4-08...big boy cup

Look what I can do! Yes. Even while holding Chick Hicks (that's my car's name).

5-3-08...swimming lessons

I had my first swim lesson at the YMCA this morning. It was really humid in there (can you tell from Momma's lens?) When we first got there I really hung to Daddy for dear life. I didn't want to go in that pool - at all! By the end of the class I was got used to it though and started having fun. I really liked the bucket of toys to play with. This green froggy was my favorite.

5-2-08...guess who!

...can climb up the playscape too now Mahoney!

5-1-08...the circus is in town

The Shriner's Circus came to town today - so Momma and Daddy took me. First we watched the parade. All the Shriners were on theri way to the circus. I got to watch from on top of Daddy's shoulders. I really liked the go carts and cars (of course).
I got my face painted like a clown.
And I got a Shriner's hat.

I really enjoyed the show. My favorite parts were the elephants, the twirling girls on ropes, and (of course) the motorcycles.
I wasn't too sure how I felt about the ACTUAL clowns though. They made me a little nervous.
Lastly I picked out a pink unicorn with rainbow hair and a rainbow horn. It squeaks when you squeeze it. I played with it the whole way home.

4-30-08...car ramp

I like to use my slide as a ramp for my cars. They go really fast. Vroooom!

4-29-08...Look Grama

Grama watched me today while Momma went to work. I showed Grama how I just learned how to walk up the plank to the playscape. Grama says I am such a big boy.

4-28-07...Gymboree with Grama

Grama came to visit and she went with me to Gymboree.

Grama helped me walk over soft things and hard things. These cushions were soft.

I think Grama's favorite part was doing "The Freeze." Yup. She liked it.

Bubble time! Can you pop a little bubble, pop a bubble?

We had so much fun!

4-27-08...my nose

What can I say? I've learned where my nose is.

4-26-08...more airplanes

Okay. Now I LOVE airplanes! Every time I hear one I look up, point, do the sign for airplane and say, "a-day! a-day!"

4-25-08...airplanes

Momma and Daddy took me to the airport today to have a pizza picnic and watch the planes land. It was fascinating!

4-24-08...first flower

The weather has been ebautiful and the Dandolions are out! I picked my first one today. I even tried to smell it becasue Momma told me it was a flower. I even tried tasting one. It didn't taste very good. After I tried to eat it, I gave it to Momma. She saved it and pressed it in a book. She says she is goign to make it into a bookmark and keep it forever and ever.

4-23-08...fishing with Grandpa Lou

I vistied Grandpa Lou today and he took me fishing - my first time! We went down tot the boat launch and we caught lots of Pumpkin Seeds and Blue Gills. Grandpa even let me reel the pole in a few times. Those fishies made me laugh!

4-22-08...Going through the car wash

Going through the car wash - ya!

It was my first car wash. Momma opened the slider to the moon roof so I could watch. It was nothing short of amazing.

4-21-08...1st scraped knee

The first of many, I'm sure.
I was busy running around outside and I tripped. OUCH.

4-20-08...weeee! water!

Daddy had the hose out today.

And I REALLY liked it! I kept running under the water, belly laughing all the way.

4-19-08...My Max

Went over to Max's for a cook-out today. Auntie Desiree DVRd "Follow That Bird" for me. It turns out that Max likes it too. We held hands whiel we watched it together.

Then I amazed Max with all my newest Big Boy tricks. I call this "pluggin the nose hole."

4-18-08...beach bum

Daddy had the day off today and the weather was so nice that he and Momma decided to take me to the beach. On the way there, sure enough, it was sunny and a little over 80 degrees. Note to self - it is always cooler at the beach. It was still sunny there, but quite breezy. And the breeze was very chilly...probably because it came off the FREEZING water. Momma brought our swimsuits, just in case...but there was no way in time out that I was getting in that water. Momma could barely stand to put her toes in.

We still had so much fun. We played a lot in the sand. Momma and Daddy even buried me. I thought that was VERY funny. We also played on the playground and went for a walk.

My favorite part was riding in the stroller on the deck. It was so bumpy - it made me squeal with glee!

4-17-08...haircut

Yup. It's that time again.

Daddy actually really liked my hair long, but Momma kept saying it was a little too long. She mostly wanted to cut the back shorter, but hen she decided to cut the front a little too, since it was always getting in my eyes. She's been talking and talking about cutting my hair for weeks now. Then, after she cut it, she got a little sad and said she missed it long. HUMPH!!! Women. Who gets them? Not me.

My short hair makes me look quite a bit older, I think.

4-16-08...Auntie Sarah

...came to visit today. AND SHE BROUGHT GIFTS!!! My kind of woman. She brought me a Red Sox shirt (of course. Is there a bigger RS fan out there?), some cool Baby Einstein books to read (of course. She's a teacher after all), and a way cool dump truck. I was very happy to see her (even before she gave me all those neat gifts). I let her borrow my pirate hat and she took me for a walk in the wagon down to see my neighbor horsie. She even wore the pirate hat the whole way. Momma was really happy to see her too. She tells me that she misses Auntie Sarah all the time.

Auntie Sarah even said I am gettign so big that she isn't as afaid of me anymore. Yes. It is a fact. I am much more sturdy now.

4-15-08...Look what I figured out today!

...how to open the screen door all by myself. HA!
