6-21-08...The Beach

Mahoney is home safe and sound - PHEW!!!! He didn't actually run away. He ran to the yard of our neighbor's neighbor. They didn't know who he belonged to so they called animal control, who came to pick Mahoney up before we even realized he was missing. Yup. Mahoney spent the night inthe slammer. We picked him up this morning - and he was very, very happy to see me.

With Mahoney found - Momma, Daddy, and I left for our visit to Grandma and Pop's. Grandma and Pop coudln't believe how big I was. They said I was big enough to go to The Beach and ride the rides. So that is exactly what I did!

I had quite the entourage.

6-20-08...ball pit boys

Mahoney likes to play in the ball pit with me. It is so much fun!
Momma took this photo right before she started packing up the car for our trip to NY. Momma opened the gate outside to pull the car in close to the door. The gate was accidentally left open and Mahoney ran away! We spent 5 hours driving around, calling him. He didn't come home. I hope he is okay. He is my best friend.

6-19-08... camouflaged

...can you see me?

6-18-08...The Letter O

Hmmm....interesting. This seems familiar. (see here --->) http://gotmemphis.blogspot.com/2007/08/stuck.html

I was so pleased with myself, having gotten this O around my neck, that when I saw momma had her camera I decided to spread my arms wide and smile. Yes - this is the first time I have actually posed on purpose for a picture. CHEESE!!!!

6-17-08...na-night

6-16-08...wrapped

...around Momma's finger.

6-15-08...Happy Father's Day

...to the best "Da-dee" in the whole wide world.

6-14-08...inseperable

...from my cars and Blanket. I love them.

6-13-08...sunny

The weather today was quite sunny.

6-12-08...everybody eats

I like the episode of Sesame Street where they sing, "Everybody eats, everybody eats. Meat and fish and cereal - carrots, peas, and beets. Everybody knows, that everyone he meets, likes to eat..." At breakfast I realized that Mater must eat too. I think he rather enjoys yogurt, actually.

6-11-08...sharing

Two-ee really likes to lay on my changing table...and lucky for him I don't mind sharing. He isn't bothered by me beign there one bit. He just continues to close his eyes and purr...even when I smack him and yell "Diddy!"

6-10-08...Mr.Independent

I have been wanting to do all sorts of things by myself lately. My favorite place to practice my independence is my slide - I love my slide. I climb up and announce, "zee, zee, zee...DA!" and then I SLIDE down giggling.

6-9-08...bite me

...that's what my sandwich was saying. Yes - I have been learning to take bites of my food just like Momma and Daddy do.

6-8-08...hat on

Just watching a little Backyardigans...half naked.

6-7-08...Super Baby at the birthday bash

Went to a birthday party for Daddy's Auntie Sher today.
I went as Super Baby...able to walk on top of picnic tables and leap over Daddies with a single bound.

6-6-08...watermelon

My very, very, very favorite food. Watermelon.
Momma and Daddy just started to let me eat in by the wedge on Memorial Day. I love it. I AM still tryign to figure out the best way to go about it though.

Always a proper fellow.
(Daddy, look what I learned from watchign Momma!)

6-5-08...splatter

This is the way I eat my yogurt, eatmy yogurt, eat my yogurt. This is the way I eat my yogurt, early in the morning! .... WHAT? I am still exploring this thing you call a spoon. Quite a handy tool, I must say.

6-4-08...dot painting

Momma let me try out a new craft today. "Paint like Seurat, with a dot, dot, dot." Pointillism!

6-3-08...Momma's shoes

Yup. I put them on all by myself. I could resist a try. I sat there, trying patiently and saying "zoos...zoos!" Walking was a little trickier.

6-2-08...car show

Car shows are like Heaven! Picture this - an open field full of cars...as far as I can see (and Daddy can stroll me). Very exciting. Everywhere I looked a squealed, "a dar! A dar! A DAR!!!!" I even enjoyed lookign at the cars in the parkign lot. I brought Ramone with me and helped him look at all the cars too.

Look at that Ramone! That one almost looks like you.

6-1-08...sleeping beauty

I am looking like such a big boy lately...Momma keeps trying to take pictures of me while I am sleeping. She says it's one of the only times she sees any baby left in me.

And of course...I keep waking up! Hi Momma!

5-31-08...guitarist in training

Daddy let me use the pick.

5-30-08...1st grader (kind of)

Momma took me to Braeburn (her old school) to visit today. We went to Auntie Sarah's classroom (it was Momma's 1st classroom once) and she let me sit in a desk and color like a big first grader.

I got to see soem of the kids that were in Momma's class last year (when I was in her belly) and boy were they happy to see me. I ama very popular boy over there at Braeburn School.

5-29-08...1st Trip to the Dentist

I went to the dentist for the first time today (so he could check out my broken teeth). His name was Dr.Silver man and, YUP, he was Momma's dentist when she was little. She told me she was kind of hoping I wouldn't have to meet him for another year though...and that it would have been under different circumstances.

He remembered how Momma broke her teeth when she was younger and he had to fix hers. He told her not to feel bad that I was just trying to be like her.

He let Momma sit in the chair and hold me on her lap. He looked at my teeth and poked around a bit, and I didn't really like it. He is going to fix my teeth next time. Great.

Yes - those are tears in my eyes. But look! They gave me a way cool beach ball.

5-28-08...broken teeth

Ezri and I were climbing on the rocking chair today and Momma told us to get down. Ezri listened, but I didn't. Momma walked over, took me off the chair, and scolded me. I thought this was QUITE funny. I cracked a smile, waited for her to walk away, and climbed up again. When she told me to get down, I didn't listen. Momma took me down again and this time she sat me on the floor for "time out."

I hate time out.

I was none too pleased so I began to cry. Then I did the silent scream. You know the one. Only I held my breath for SO LONG that I actually turned purple, and passed out. I fell forward and (since I was screaming I had my mouth open) I hit my teeth on the floor and they broke. Chipped. Whatever. Now I kind of look a little like a vampire...and Momma had Mother Guilt.

It will take more than a couple of broken teeth to keep ME from smiling!
