Matthew's Here!

Matthew arrived last night, November 5th, at 11:57 pm. He weighs 8 lbs. and 7 oz. and is 21 inches long. He is almost EXACTLY the same size I was when I was born (I was 8 lbs. 8 oz. and 22 inches long). Momma and Daddy woke me up in the middle of the night to drive out to the hospital to see him. I didn't mind! I walked up the hallway (holding on to Momma and Daddy's hands) yelling with joy and excitement the whole way. Matthew has Uncle DJ's chin and Auntie Heather's nose. He's perfect...can't wait to beat him up with pillows and break stuff with him. Cool.

He was really sleepy. Being born IS hard work, after all.

Daddy held Matthew nice and close so we could get a good look at each other. Matthew wanted to look right at me. I think he likes me already.

I know I like HIM!

I was worried that maybe Uncle DJ wouldn't love me as much anymore...now that he has his own little boy. Guess what!!! He still loves me bunches, and Auntie Heather does too. They were both so happy to see me and they really liked my giggling.

Did you know Daddy and Uncle DJ are cousins and they were born exactly 9 months, 1 week apart? They grew up together and are still best, best friends. Now Matthew and I are 10 months and 2 weeks apart. Will history repeat itself? I hope so!
