Toothbrush

Momma let me pick out my very own toothbrush at the store today. I chose a geen and orange one with Big Bird on the handle. She says it is important for me to brush my teeth, now that I am getting so many. The four on top are almost all in. OUCH.

I am such an easy baby. I opened my mouth right up. As soon as Momma started to brush my teeth I got a big smile on my face and then I got all giggly. I really liked it. Really. Then Momma let me have the brush and I just kept happily playing with it for another ten minutes or so until she took it away. Then I whined. Momma says I get to do it everyday though. So I get to do it again tomorrow. Can't wait!

Matthew's Here!

Matthew arrived last night, November 5th, at 11:57 pm. He weighs 8 lbs. and 7 oz. and is 21 inches long. He is almost EXACTLY the same size I was when I was born (I was 8 lbs. 8 oz. and 22 inches long). Momma and Daddy woke me up in the middle of the night to drive out to the hospital to see him. I didn't mind! I walked up the hallway (holding on to Momma and Daddy's hands) yelling with joy and excitement the whole way. Matthew has Uncle DJ's chin and Auntie Heather's nose. He's perfect...can't wait to beat him up with pillows and break stuff with him. Cool.

He was really sleepy. Being born IS hard work, after all.

Daddy held Matthew nice and close so we could get a good look at each other. Matthew wanted to look right at me. I think he likes me already.

I know I like HIM!

I was worried that maybe Uncle DJ wouldn't love me as much anymore...now that he has his own little boy. Guess what!!! He still loves me bunches, and Auntie Heather does too. They were both so happy to see me and they really liked my giggling.

Did you know Daddy and Uncle DJ are cousins and they were born exactly 9 months, 1 week apart? They grew up together and are still best, best friends. Now Matthew and I are 10 months and 2 weeks apart. Will history repeat itself? I hope so!

Baby Matthew is on his way!

Daddy called Momma to tell us this afternoon! Now it's 7:30 and Uncle DJ says Auntie Heather has an epidural (what's that?) and is 6 cm! Matthew we be here soon! SO EXCITED!!!!!! CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!

Guess what I had for dinner...

...did you guess? I love fedding myself. Momma cut my food up...but I just kept grabbing for hers. It looked like more fun. She let me try it - yay!

Yankee Candle

Momma and Daddy took me to Yankee Candle today. It was awesome! They told me that they go there every year in November. It is a holiday tradition. Every year they wander through the store and choose one new ornament for the Christmas tree. I couldn't wait to choose mine. Meme and Auntie Stefanie came with us too.

A few days ago Momma started showing me pictures of Santa and telling me all about him. He visits Yankee Candle all the time and she told me I might get to see him. She was excited about me meeting him. I didn't want to hurt Momma's feelings and tell her I already know him though. You see, since it was Christmas Eve when I arrived last year, the stork had the night off...so Santa gave me a ride to the hospital.

Here it is - my first ornament! I chose a drum set...because you all know how I feel about drums!
Look! There was a giant miniature Christmas village. Daddy said maybe we should get rid of our kitchen and have our own Christmas village at home. Who needs a kitchen anyway?
Look at all these candles! Heck - forget the candles...look at these shoes on my feet. Fascinating.

Me Mittens

It was cold today so Momma made me wear me mittens - yar! Me Grandma bo't 'em fer me. They be pirate mittens.

They also be very interesting! I cou'nt help but stare at 'em all af'ernoon.
